Brachycercus harrisella (Larva)
This picture shows a Brachycercus harrisella larva on a white background. Highlighted in the picture are some physical characteristics, such as lateral margins of abdominal segments 3-7 have flat backward facing projections and head has three prominent ocellar tubercles. When used together these characteristics help in the identification of this species. This specimen was taken from the River Wey at Frensham.
