FreshwaterLife Collaborative Workspaces provide an easy-to-use and flexible resource for organisations, projects and groups to publicise their freshwater interests and facilitate better communication.

Workspaces can be open to the public, restricted to individuals or groups, or a combination of the two.

Groups take up Collaborative Workspaces for a number of reasons, including:

• A lack of resources or technical skills required to create web facilities
• A need to collaborate between organisations and across technological barriers such as corporate firewalls
• A desire to recognise the independence of a project / initiative from partners and sponsors
