The Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) in New Delhi, India will receive the 2005 Stockholm Water Prize, for their contribution to water management. In an attempt to combat the growing crisis of water management in regions of the South, CSE through it research and publications, is helping to generate new thinking. This is principally done by advocating traditional systems such as rainwater harvesting and the role of local communities in their management.
